- Only the freshest seafood is served daily at this beachfront restaurant
located on Playa Larga. If you're driving, when you reach the

Luxurious and romantic gourmet dining in an open-air garden under the
stars at this boutique hotel with a spectacular view overlooking Zihuatanejo
Bay from
the hillside between
La Ropa and Las Gatas beaches. Reservations recommended.
Bananas
- Unbeatable prices for breakfast! Delicious and carefully prepared meals.
Fresh juices and fruits. Also a great place for lunch. Right in front
of El Mango on Calle Nicolás Bravo in Zihuatanejo around
the corner from the bank BANCOMER.
Bandido's
- Mingle with the locals and enjoy refreshingly cold drinks and delicious
Mexican lunches, dinners & appetizers in downtown Zihuatanejo
on the corner of Calle Cinco de Mayo and Calle Pedro Ascencio across from
both the church and the artisans handicrafts market. They feature live
music and satellite TV sports.
Beccofino
- A wonderful marriage of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine! Excellent
seafoods and pastas in a romantic setting on the waterfront at Marina
Ixtapa.
Café Marina
- Delicious pizza, pastas, sandwiches and other assorted special dishes.
Be sure to check the Daily Specials! This is also the place to trade in
or buy used books for your reading pleasure from their ample selection.
Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on the waterfront next to the town
plaza and basketball court at the Casa Marina.
Casa
Morelos - Delicious 100% fine Mexican cuisine.
Specializing in seafood dishes of Guerrero. Located in the La Puerta Shopping
Plaza in Ixtapa.
Chez Arnoldo
- Located near the beginning of Playa Las Gatas this family-run
restaurant is not only a great place to eat breakfast and lunch but
also to pass the day sunning and swimming. Their chef, Noyo, learned
a few tricks while working as a chef in Switzerland! Delicious fresh
fish and other local seafood are their specialties. But careful with

Beans - A delightful restaurant on Ixtapa
Boulevard featuring homemade chili and assorted Mexican dishes as
well as standard fare of burgers for those who must. Open for breakfast,

Coconuts -
One of Zihuatanejo's landmark restaurants located in a historical building
offering fine cuisine, courtyard dining, a friendly bar, and frequent
live entertainment as well as cultural events.
Domino's Pizza
- It had to happen sooner or later. They deliver. In Ixtapa on the Boulevard

Arbolito -
Pedro and his staff serve delicious fresh seafood dishes including
tiritas, ceviche and campechana. Find them on Calle Juan N. Alvarez
across the street from the main plaza (Zócalo) in
Zihuatanejo behind the fruit water stand "La Michoacana" and
in Ixtapa on the second floor of the shopping center directly across
from the Emporio Hotel.

Galeon - Fine cuisine from the sea with a Mediterranean

At Manzanillo Bay - Fine cuisine by the
waterfront in the restaurant of this unique Bed and Breakfast located
on the beach at Playa Manzanillo near Troncones. The Chef/Owner

Gula - This intimate, affordable, unpretentious
gourmet restaurant is a surprising discovery though practically hidden
in this quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance from downtown

Lety's -
Fresh local seafood and regional fare prepared to perfection at this
small family-run restaurant located in El Almacén. From
downtown Zihuatanejo cross the footbridge near the pier and turn left
and look for a small blue building on the hill to the right.
Los Abanicos
- Great inexpensive Mexican home-style cooking. What we call "comida
corrida". One of the best deals around! Their food is carefully prepared
with TLC. Find their small cafe-style restaurant on Calle Pedro Ascencio
between Calles Cuauhtémoc and Agustín Ramirez near the Caseta
de Larga Distancia in downtown Zihuatanejo's first block.
Mamma
Norma & Deborah - A wonderful restaurant
in La Puerta shopping center in Ixtapa. Featuring a variety of
fresh seafood, homemade Mexican dishes, pastas, well-prepared meats, and
delicious desserts among their specialties. Open daily for breakfast,
lunch and dinner.
Margaritas
- Delicious 100% Mexican recipes prepared with a home-style gourmet touch.
Located in the first block of downtown Zihuatanejo at Calle Vicente
Guerrero #8 across from the Hotel Citlali, who also operates the

Cabaña/Pizzas Locas
- One of our best kept secrets (so that we locals have a place to eat
when the tourists fill up the other restaurants) located in Zihuatanejo
on Calle Vicente Guerrero #7 in the first block from the waterfront across
from the bakery Panadería Buen Gusto. This garden restaurant has
great portions for very reasonable prices. Great BBQ ribs here as well
as fine seafood (I recommend the fish broiled in aluminum!!!). Also well

Buen Gusto - Delicious baked pastries,
